building a 3 * 1 * 1 block

hello there !

i was wondering if i was able to build something like a bed ,not for sleeping,but 3 * 1 * 1 block ?

yep it's for sure possible.

 

Look at the vanilla bed BlockBed, or BlockDoor, for inspiration.  Once you understand how the bed or door keeps track of two blocks, you should be able to extend it to three without too much trouble.  It is pretty complicated unless you have a good grip on some of the basic concepts already, though.
