So i am working on making my mod, and i was wondering how i would add a check in vanilla items for my custom enchantment. Eg, if a diamond pickaxe has my autosmelting enchantment, to autosmelt. I know how to do the autosmelting part, but i dont know how to have a vanilla item do it. And yes i know autosmelting isnt anything original, but im new and out of ideas.

I propose an other way of achieving the "autosmelt". Use the HarvestDropsEvent, check if the item used to break the block is a pickaxe and if it has your enchantment, then check which block was broken or check which items are dropped, remove those from the drops list and add their smelted counterparts to the list.

Thanks for your comment, i ended up using BlockEvent.BreakEvent. Works great
