[1.7.2][SOLVE checking if entity is living in "onEntityCollidedWithBlock" Method

Hey all! My problem is that I wanted to make runes, that if you walk over them kill you and every other living entity instantly! My question now is how to check if the entity is living and then kill them? I tried multiple ways but none of them was working, so there are 2 possibilities:

 

1 it's not possible

2 im dumb as a rock and im thinking too complicated

1. check if entity is an instance of the EntityLivingBase class

2. if true, make a new variable which holds an EntityLivingBase instance and give it the entity (you must cast it to the EntityLivingBase class)

3. kill the entity

 

4. ? ? ?

5. salad

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.
