As the title suggests, I am making a block that is invisible whilst in survival, but visible while in creative. Does anyone have a solution to that? Thanks in advance!

Override one of the getIcon methods. Since they're all on the client side you can safely use

Minecraft.getMinecraft().thePlayer.capabilities.isCreativeMode

and just return the texture you want.

(Make sure to override isBlockNormalCube or one of those methods to make sure you can have an invisible block, I can never remember which method does that. :P)

I'll help if I can. Apologies if I do something obviously stupid. :D

Thanks for telling me how to get the player's gamemode, but which getIcon method are you referring to? Also, I'm not sure if this is clear, but I need it to render dynamically, in case the gamemode changes during gameplay.
