Posted August 29, 201411 yr i have downloaded every correctly (or at least i think i did) and i type in gradlew tasks in the cmd prompt window and it says access is denied. i don't know what to do to fix this iv set up a path for the java JDK and that's working just fine.
August 29, 201411 yr Provide screenshots, pastebin, or something. You also have to set a JAVA_HOME variable, have you done that? I am the self-nominated Lord of the Mastodons and don't you dare deny it. Also, check out my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/DerpDerp44/
August 29, 201411 yr Author Um littrally all it says is access is denied when ever I type anything gradlew related and I did not do the java_home thing cause the tutorial I did didn't say anything about it.
August 29, 201411 yr I'm going to say it again. Provide a screenshot. I can't help you otherwise. Also, who's tutorial are you following? If it is anyone's but ScratchForFun's, Pahimar's, Wuppy's, or Vswe's, I would heartily suggest you switch over to their's. Also, the fact that the tutorial says nothing about it means nothing except that the maker forgot to put in the video. I am the self-nominated Lord of the Mastodons and don't you dare deny it. August 29, 201411 yr Author I screen shot ain't gonna do anything it literally only says access is denied and that's it nothing more nothing less and I'm doing pahimars tutorial but he assumes I have it all working already.
August 29, 201411 yr I can't help you without a screenshot, or an error log, or whatever. Maybe you did some weird administrator thingies? I can't help you without a screenshot, having never encountered this problem myself. I am the self-nominated Lord of the Mastodons and don't you dare deny it. August 29, 201411 yr Author How is a screen shot of the cod prompt saying access is denied going to help there is no error log no nothing just access is denied.
August 29, 201411 yr It's going to help because I can see everything in the command prompt, not just what you are telling me. If you are so adverse to providing a screenshot of the command prompt, copy what is in there down to the letter, however I believe it would be easier simply to use the screenshot tool Windows provides you to take a screenshot of the command prompt and post it on here. I am the self-nominated Lord of the Mastodons and don't you dare deny it. Also, check out my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/DerpDerp44/
August 29, 201411 yr Author I already copied it down to the letter. All it says is access is denied. There is nothing else.
August 29, 201411 yr If I may ask, why are you so adverse to providing a screenshot of the command prompt window? Just take a screenshot of it, and provide it. I am the self-nominated Lord of the Mastodons and don't you dare deny it. Also, check out my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/DerpDerp44/
August 29, 201411 yr Author Because I have said exactly what the cmd prompt has said letter for letter. I just don't see why a photo of the words iv said make it easier.
August 29, 201411 yr How many times do I have to explain to you? Because then I can see something you may have missed, and I can provide you with better help. August 29, 201411 yr Author How can I miss anything when the only words on the screen that show up are access is denied.
August 29, 201411 yr That's exactly what I'm saying. You can miss something by being too egotistical to even consider the possibility that you may have missed something and that maybe providing a screenshot could help you out. Forget it, I can't and I won't help you until you let me help you. I am the self-nominated Lord of the Mastodons and don't you dare deny it. August 29, 201411 yr Author Really I have said that LITRALLY THE ONLY WORDS ON THE SCREEN ARE ACCESS IS DENIED. Only three words 3 no more then that.
August 29, 201411 yr That's ALL it says in your command prompt? I would say that you, sir, have a broken computer/command prompt. I am the self-nominated Lord of the Mastodons and don't you dare deny it. Also, check out my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/DerpDerp44/
August 29, 201411 yr Author Yes that's all it says and i don't know why that's why I was asking lol XP
August 29, 201411 yr Again, I need a screenshot. I'm not going to be replying until you post one because it's apparently completely futile. I am the self-nominated Lord of the Mastodons and don't you dare deny it. Also, check out my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/DerpDerp44/
August 29, 201411 yr Author And like I have said a screen shot will only tell you the same thing I have been saying.
August 29, 201411 yr If ALL your command prompt says is Access Denied, I think you have a bigger problem. I am the self-nominated Lord of the Mastodons and don't you dare deny it. Also, check out my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/DerpDerp44/
August 29, 201411 yr Author It is all that it says so then what do I need to do to fix it with out a photo cause nothing else can be learned from just access is denied.
August 29, 201411 yr Have you changed anything administrator-related about the folder? If so, this is your problem. Does it say anything about --stacktrace or something like that? I am the self-nominated Lord of the Mastodons and don't you dare deny it. Also, check out my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/DerpDerp44/
August 29, 201411 yr Author No I have not only things I have in the folder are: IntelliJ idea Forge src and uncompressed That's it
August 29, 201411 yr Ok, remove IntelliJ IDEA from the folder and place it somewhere else. Delete all forge stuff from there, redownload forge from the website, extract it into the folder, delete the src folder, and all the .txt files in there. Then, shift+rightclick inside the windows explorer folder, and click the open command window here. Type gradlew setupDecompWorkspace and tell me what happens. I'm going to assume you're using IDEA, so if it works type gradlew idea. I am the self-nominated Lord of the Mastodons and don't you dare deny it.
