[Solved] How to Github Clone a ForgeGradle Project?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I've been working on a project for a while now and committing my updates to my github. However, I lost my existing working directory, and so I'm trying to get a fresh clone from github.

My Github for the project: https://github.com/MarnBeast/EvilDeadCraft

I have gradlew committed, so I theorized that I should simply be able to do the clone through eGit, close eclipse, and run gradlew setupUncompWorkspace and gradlew eclipse on the project I just pulled down. I followed LexManos video

and got Minecraft to run, and I could see my code in eclipse linked to my github repo. No errors. However, the mod doesn't show up in Minecraft. It says there's only 3 mods installed - Minecraft Coder Pack, Forge Mod Loader, and Minecraft Forge. I've tried about everything I can think of, but I cannot get it to see my mod. It definitely worked before! I'm guessing that the problem is related to Gradle and that my project is somehow configured incorrectly, but no idea where to look.

Any ideas? Thanks!

One thing I noticed is that my packages are now instead broken into a folder hierarchy. For instance, what was a package net.evildead.mod before losing my environment and trying to clone is now just folders net/evildead/mod in my package explorer. No idea if that's relevant, but it's a change.
