Posted September 21, 201411 yr I'm creating a creative tab that holds a bunch of customs chests that have 1 NBT tag called invName, these itemstacks are added in the creative tab code after they have been read from a JSON file. this all seems to work fine until I take the itemstack from the creative menu and try place it in the world, when I do that the itemstack just disappears and there was no block placed down. September 21, 201411 yr Author Why so complicated? Just override getSubBlocks in your Block class and add the NBT data there. The issue is that you are creating ItemStacks with stack-size 0 (you most likely swapped the metadata and stack size arguments). Damn, was I really that stupid, I never swapped those around before and once you do it's so hard to find... Thanks a lot. And yeah that about the getSubBlocks could work too If I was any help please hit that "Thank You" button.
