I wondered how it would work, to fasten up the decay time of leaves, which are not connected to log any more.

Try overriding

public void tickRate(World){}

. The default value is 10, so making it 5 is maybe setting it to twice as much updates per second, so maybe making it decay faster.

I only want to speed up the leave decay; i dont want to make the growing of plants faster...
