Minecraft crashes upon joining multiplayer server

I have made sure to install Forge, Optifine, and any other mods on the host server.  The game works in singleplayer just fine.  I updated the video card drivers for the computer that crashes and also Java.  Here is the error report:

you should both have the actual recommented universal build. And yes, that is most likely the cause, that you're running different minor versions of forge.

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.
