Posted October 22, 201411 yr Hi, I'm using Forge 1.7.10-10.13.2.1230-universal (as well as minecraft server 1.7.10) and trying to boot a server with an IC2 mod that I got from a list of apparently Forge 1.7.10 compatible mods (http://modlist.mcf.li/version/1.7.10 Mod name is IC2 Classic). I can get my server to boot up if the "mods" folders are empty in both my .minecraft and my server's folder. If I put the IC2 .jar file in the folders, I get a black window for about a second when I start the server and then it closes. Here's what I get as a crash report ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // Sorry Time: 22/10/14 11:20 AM Description: Exception in server tick loop cpw.mods.fml.common.LoaderException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: ic2classic.core.IC2 at cpw.mods.fml.common.LoadController.transition(LoadController.java:162) at cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.loadMods(Loader.java:502) at cpw.mods.fml.server.FMLServerHandler.beginServerLoading(FMLServerHandler.java:87) at cpw.mods.fml.common.FMLCommonHandler.onServerStart(FMLCommonHandler.java:314) at net.minecraft.server.dedicated.DedicatedServer.func_71197_b(DedicatedServer.java:117) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:387) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer$2.run(MinecraftServer.java:685) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: ic2classic.core.IC2 at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.LaunchClassLoader.findClass(LaunchClassLoader.java:191) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at cpw.mods.fml.common.ModClassLoader.loadClass(ModClassLoader.java:58) at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.forName(Unknown Source) at cpw.mods.fml.common.FMLModContainer.constructMod(FMLModContainer.java:420) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventSubscriber.handleEvent(EventSubscriber.java:74) at com.google.common.eventbus.SynchronizedEventSubscriber.handleEvent(SynchronizedEventSubscriber.java:47) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.dispatch(EventBus.java:322) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.dispatchQueuedEvents(EventBus.java:304) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.post(EventBus.java:275) at cpw.mods.fml.common.LoadController.sendEventToModContainer(LoadController.java:208) at cpw.mods.fml.common.LoadController.propogateStateMessage(LoadController.java:187) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventSubscriber.handleEvent(EventSubscriber.java:74) at com.google.common.eventbus.SynchronizedEventSubscriber.handleEvent(SynchronizedEventSubscriber.java:47) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.dispatch(EventBus.java:322) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.dispatchQueuedEvents(EventBus.java:304) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.post(EventBus.java:275) at cpw.mods.fml.common.LoadController.distributeStateMessage(LoadController.java:118) at cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.loadMods(Loader.java:492) ... 5 more Caused by: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: ic2classic/core/IC2 : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClassCond(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source) at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source) at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.LaunchClassLoader.findClass(LaunchClassLoader.java:182) ... 33 more A detailed walkthrough of the error, its code path and all known details is as follows: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- System Details -- Details: Minecraft Version: 1.7.10 Operating System: Windows 7 (amd64) version 6.1 Java Version: 1.6.0_25, Sun Microsystems Inc. October 22, 201411 yr hi, Caused by: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: ic2classic/core/IC2 : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 This mod requires Java 7 or newer.
October 22, 201411 yr Author Thanks for the quick answer. I had download the newest java but didn't reboot my computer. Might have been that. Unfortunately, it seems something else is wrong. The same thing happens, but now with this error log: ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // You should try our sister game, Minceraft! October 22, 201411 yr Author Alright so after many hours of reading and looking around and trying stuff, it seems this "compatible" mod isnt. I found another version that will let the server boot up without any trouble. Now thing is, Forge says the mod is active, but I have no access to any items that mod is supposed to add. I'll keep looking around, maybe there's a different problem with that version too.
October 23, 201411 yr Then it's a problem with the mod, contact the mod author. Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE! This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project. www.forgeessentials.com Don't PM me, I don't check this account unless I have to.
