Hello community,

I am pretty new to programming with Forge, though, I am an advanced Java programmer. My goal is to make a new crafting/smelting recipe but not with a block or item that I added myself, but an ore that is added by another mod (RedPower to be precise).

Is there any interface which provides all registered blocks/items and enables me to provide them as a parameter to addSmelting() or addRecipe()? I already tried accessing the field "blockRegistry" in the class "GameRegistry" via reflection and it worked, but the registered blocks are saved as "BlockProxy", so all information about this block is lost/not usable for me.

Can you provide some approaches how I can reach my goal? Maybe I am just not seeing the right method or something because I am not very advanced in programming with the Forge API.

Thanks in advance.

We don't support any Minecraft versions below the current Forge is for, so update, or you will be on your own.

Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support.

1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support.
