i followed the path to download gradle 2.0 and extracted it but how do these files work they dont seem to have an effect

You need to set up gradle properly (read their installation instructions) and then you can run gradle setupDecompWorkspace instead of gradlew, which is the wrapper which for some reason does not work for you.

how do i do that? can't find instructions... readme doesn't say
