Posted November 26, 201410 yr I saw that 1.8 Forge was released a few hours ago so I decided to try updating. I did my usual steps for updating for a new version (clean, setupDevWorkspace, setupDecomWorkspace, eclipse) after updating my build.gradle file to use "version = "1.8-11.14.0.1239", but on the setupDevWorkspace step I got a 403 Forbidden: build.gradle buildscript { repositories { mavenCentral() maven { name = "forge" url = "http://files.minecraftforge.net/maven" } maven { name = "sonatype" url = "https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots/" } } dependencies { classpath 'net.minecraftforge.gradle:ForgeGradle:1.2-SNAPSHOT' } } apply plugin: 'forge' archivesBaseName = "ZyinsHUD" version = "(1.-v.1.4.0" group= "com.zyin.zyinhud" // http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-naming-conventions.html minecraft { version = "1.8-11.14.0.1239" assetDir = "eclipse/assets" } processResources { // this will ensure that this task is redone when the versions change. inputs.property "version", project.version inputs.property "mcversion", project.minecraft.version // replace stuff in mcmod.info, nothing else from(sourceSets.main.resources.srcDirs) { include 'mcmod.info' // replace version and mcversion expand 'version':project.version, 'mcversion':project.minecraft.version } // copy everything else, thats not the mcmod.info from(sourceSets.main.resources.srcDirs) { exclude 'mcmod.info' } } Any ideas? Right now I'm guessing that its some setup error on their end.
November 27, 201410 yr Author Figured out the issue after downloading a fresh copy of the src. In build.gradle, it should be: version = "1.8-11.14.0.1239-1.8" with an extra -1.8 tacked on the end. Also as an FYI: "cpw.mods.fml" has moved to "net.minecraftforge.fml". Gotta fix all your imports after updating from 1.7.10 to 1.8.
