hello, i've registered on this forum because i could not find a solution to this mysterious problem anywhere on the internet.

i have some experience with running a server, mods, random issues, and so on. but this time i just cannot for the life of me figure out what is going on.

recently i decided to upgrade to 1.7.10 version of minecraft and downloaded the latest forge installer, set up my minecraft and it works perfectly. but then i installed the server file, and when i run the server, it starts for a few moments, runs into some error and shuts down. in the log, all it says is:

[19:48:05] [server thread/INFO] [FML/]: The state engine was in incorrect state POSTINITIALIZATION and forced into state SERVER_STOPPED. Errors may have been discarded.

the thing is, this is an unmodded server, so i do not know what is causing this problem.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
