Problem with Eclipse Debug

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm a greenhorn in modding and can't get the debug mode in eclipse to run.

The error messages are no help to me.

I do have a second, modded version of minecraft on this PC. Maybe this is an issue? I'm thinking that only the "minecraft" and the ".minecraft" folder are of importance, maybe I am wrong? I just moved those folders to the desktop and installed a clean MC version.

Thanks for any help!

This is the eclipse log:

Add

-Djava.library.path="C:/ForgeGradle/build/natives"

to your VM arguments in your debug configuration.

Replace

C:/ForgeGradle/build/natives

with the actual path to the build/natives folder in your ForgeGradle environment.

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.

No, don't do that. The proper fix is to use GradleStart as your main class. It will set up everything for running Minecraft.

For that you need to update to 1.7.10, which you should have done already anyways. There is no reason to use 1.7.2.

The strange thing is, if I add a program argument, like --username, it crashes with the same error for me (and yes, I have GradleStart as main class)...

So I've explicitly specified the natives library path.

@OP

I didn't see you didn't use GradleStart (didn't look at the complete stacktrace), so you should go with diesieben07's solution.
