Hey! I try to edit the receive chat messages.

Example: I am trying to edit when I get the message "activated Force field" I try to change it to red and bold color. I get it into an already bold, but I would like it to red too how I can do it.

package com.mmxw11.pbs.chatmodifiers;

import java.util.List;

import net.minecraft.client.Minecraft;
import net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer;
import net.minecraft.util.ChatComponentText;
import net.minecraft.util.ChatComponentTranslation;
import net.minecraft.util.EnumChatFormatting;
import net.minecraft.util.IChatComponent;
import net.minecraftforge.client.event.ClientChatReceivedEvent;
import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.eventhandler.SubscribeEvent;

public class ForceFieldDetector {

@SubscribeEvent
 public void onChatMessage(String textMessage, String formattedMessage, ClientChatReceivedEvent event) {
 if(textMessage.contains("activated Force Field")) {
	for (Object component : event.message.getSiblings()) {
		((IChatComponent) component).getChatStyle().setBold(true).getColor();

	}
}
}
}

You can use setColor method, just enter the color paramter from EnumChatFormatting.

I. Stellarium for Minecraft: Configurable Universe for Minecraft! (WIP)

II. Stellar Sky, Better Star Rendering&Sky Utility mod, had separated from Stellarium.

Unless something changed - THIS IS NOT how you make events.

Event method should always contain ONLY Event argument.

Message should be pulled from event.something and then edited.

1.7.10 is no longer supported by forge, you are on your own.

1. Why don't you use a command?

2. Is this supposed to be an event?

3. Why doesn't it look like:

@SubscribeEvent
public void onServerChatEvent(ServerChatEvent event){
	EntityPlayer player = event.player;
	BGSPlayer bgsPlayer = BGSPlayer.get(player);

	switch(bgsPlayer.getGameMode()){
		case LOBBY:
			LobbyEvent.onServerChatEvent(event);
			break;

	}
}
