Posted February 27, 201510 yr I have some Mp3 files (Royalty Free) and I was wondering if I could incorporate them (easily). I was wondering that because why convert them to OGG if you can incorporate them as they are? If the answer is no, I suppose I could download Audacity and convert them... But I was just wondering.
February 27, 201510 yr No, unfortunately if you want to play MP3 files you're going to have to write your own Java player or download a library which is going to make people need to download that library. However you can use http://www.convertfiles.com/ which i find very useful. It allows max 100 MB.
February 27, 201510 yr If you want to make a player for Mp3 you need to licence some proprietary software, so you will have a hard time finding an open source codec. Use oog, if you don't want to use a website I can highly recommend XMediaRecode for converting. Ok I will try that. Thanks for the answers. Edit: Umm, It's confusing me. I think I'll go for the website. Thanks for suggesting though.
