Just wanted to know if there is any information about creating them for 1.8/ how different it is to older versions of minecraft.

    You just have to register a provider with an id in your main class. (For the beginning you can use WorldProviderFlat)

    Then you use the provider id to register a dimension.

     

    Small hint: DimensionManager.class
