Posted October 20, 201213 yr is there a way to access audio files out of the mod zip, without extracting them first and putting them into the minecraft resource folder? The tutorial at http://www.minecraftforge.net/wiki/Sounds_For_Forge_1.3.2 describes how to set a custom path to a sound file, but what's the path to a location inside the mod zip file? running minecraft on Mac OS X - Sierra --- creating code since 1986 ... --- मेरा दिल भारतवासी है! http://www.arno-saxena.de/pictures/chococraft/banner_signature.png[/img]
October 21, 201213 yr I dont quite understand what you meant but this is what the tutorial says: /path/to/your/sound.wav = the sound.wav in the your folder in the to folder in the path folder in the mod zip directory http://i.imgur.com/Hppni.png[/img]
October 21, 201213 yr Author quote from the bottom of the tutorial Remember to place your sound files in the correct folder you defined above in minecraft.jar in the jars/bin folder in mcp. So I would put my sound.wav into the your folder in the to folder in the path folder in minecraft.jar so if I do understand it correctly, the /path/to/your/ is relative to the minecraft folder and not the folder structure in the mod.zip... please correct me if I'm wrong ... But if I'm correct, I'm still pondering if there is a way to have the /path/to/your/ relative to the folder structure in the mod.hip file ... running minecraft on Mac OS X - Sierra --- creating code since 1986 ... --- मेरा दिल भारतवासी है! http://www.arno-saxena.de/pictures/chococraft/banner_signature.png[/img]
October 21, 201213 yr /path/to/your is in the minecraft.jar in MCP and if you release your mod in a zip it will be in the yourmod.zip in the mods folder. (I know this since I wrote that tutorial) http://i.imgur.com/Hppni.png[/img]
