So as you can see from the title, I'm trying to install HEE mod and it comes with a java 7 checker. My mac, when updated to OS X Yosemite, required java 6 for minecraft. So i couldn't use the mod. I then clicked the download link from java for the newest version like java 8 or something. I installed it but when i run forge with HEE and the java 7 checker mod, it still says i don't have java 7 or up. how do i solve this issue

OHHHHH I just clicked edit profile and saw right above the jvm arguments it says

 

/System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Home/bin/java

 

what should I type to switch it to java 1.7 or 1.8

That program isn't giving me anything, just a blank text edit document. I tried the 2nd option underneath that, and all it showed me was the java 1.6.0.jdk I uninstalled java and reinstalled the java 7 version i downloaded, and nothing happened. I took out the 1.6.0.jdk folder and reinstalled java 7 again and it just made a new folder with the same name (1.6.0.jdk) so i have no idea what to do...
