Posted March 14, 201510 yr Im currently working on am mod thats 90% finished but cant figure out how to use the soundRegistry to register a sound in minecraft 1.8: public class sounds { public void mainRegist(){ SoundRegistry.registerSound(new SoundEventAccessorComposite(new ResourceLocation(Refs.MOD_ID+":sounds\as.ogg"),1,1,SoundCategory.MASTER)); } } ... Error: "Cannot make a static reference to the non-static method registerSound(SoundEventAccessorComposite) from the type SoundRegistry" ive been trying to fix this but im still kinda new to java.
March 14, 201510 yr First: why aren't you using json sound registry??? Second: Cannot make a static reference to the non-static method means that method is not static and you need obj instance (in this case of Soundregistry) to call this method...
