Keep a reference of your mod ID somewhere

Reference.MODID.toLowerCase() + ":" + block.getUnlocalizedName().replace("tile.block.", "")/*.replace(".name", "")*/;

Take the comment out if getUnlocalizedName also has .name at the end, I forget if it does or not.

It's not the modid of my mod, it's the modid of ANY mod, and even minecraft vanilla blocks.

Basically my mod allows the player to mark out buildings for the NPC to build, and it originally used block IDs, but now I have changed it to use the unlocalized name (modid:block). For example, minecraft:dirt. I need a way to find the name of the block in that format.
