Posted April 6, 201510 yr I decided to start updating some of my code for the latest 1.8 release, and saw that a lot of the methods in the World class have been removed, such as getBlock() and getBlockMetadata(). What have they been replaced by? "Thinking that coding is the nerdy IT guy at work rebooting your computer is like thinking that music is what happens when the piano tuner comes round." - Ed Rex
April 6, 201510 yr Metadata system is changed to blockstates. So to compare block: World#getBlockState(x, y, z).getBlock() == (Block instance) To compare BlockState(block & metadata): World#getBlockState(x, y, z) == (BlockState instance) Also you can get default state from getDefaultState(); I. Stellarium for Minecraft: Configurable Universe for Minecraft! (WIP) II. Stellar Sky, Better Star Rendering&Sky Utility mod, had separated from Stellarium.
