Posted October 29, 201212 yr Can I use MC Forge universal for 1.3.2 in my Ocelot Pack mod pack? It has some good mods I have planned to add in it! I want someone to SIMPLY (sorry for caps, just want it to be visible!) explain it to me. Yes or no?
October 30, 201212 yr http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ Yes you can, BUT, you must allow everyone to do the same with yours. 'If you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may distribute the resulting work only under the same or similar license to this one.' So people are free to use your work in their own work. Modpacks however are a bit disrespectful for some people as they require little work to achieve and cause the mod authors to go unrecognized, losing them link clicks and donations. Just letting you know.
October 30, 201212 yr Ignore previous poster, Forge is NOT licensed under CC licences. https://github.com/MinecraftForge/MinecraftForge/blob/master/install/MinecraftForge-License.txt Just RTFL. 5. Distribution rights ---------------------- The user of Minecraft Forge is allowed to redistribute Minecraft Forge in partially, in totallity, or included in a distribution. When distributing binaries or class files, the user must provide means to obtain the sources of the distributed version of Minecraft Forge at no costs. This includes the files as well as any dependency that the code may rely on, including patches to minecraft original sources. You can. Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE! This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project. www.forgeessentials.com Don't PM me, I don't check this account unless I have to.
