Okay, so I'm running single player Minecraft 1.7.10 with Forge Version 10.10.13.3.1408 on MultiMc 0.4.6. What happens is when I start up Minecraft it loads all the way (through that new Forge graphic loading screen which I like a lot) and then freezes on a maximized white screen when It goes to launch the client full-screen. This just started happening when I updated to Forge 10.10.13.3.1407 and I don't why. I've tried multiple things to fix this issue but nothing seems to work. I've rolled back Forge multiple versions. I've also rolled back the mods I've updated since this this started happening. The strange thing is that it doesn't happen every time. Just more often than not. It happens even if I try a Forge Version prior to 1407. When it does finally decide to start up. It runs perfectly fine. I have a pretty decent computer, so I don't think that's the problem. When it actually runs, I get a full 60 fps even with the 150 or so mods I have installed and the graphics set to max. I don't have Optifine or anything like that installed either. It's just getting pretty frustrating considering the amount of time it takes modded Minecraft to start up even on a really nice pc. And then having to do it 5 or 6 times on top of that. I don't know if this can be defined as a true crash, as it doesn't generate a crash report. I don't even know if this is even a forge problem. Correlation doesn't imply causation and all that. I have a copy of the server log if that helps - (http://pastebin.com/B4UP4w1x). It always gets stuck at the same spot. And ides or suggestions anyone has would be highly appreciated. And if there's any more info I can give that would help out just let me know. Thanks in advance for the help.

How long did you wait?

Try disabling the new loading screen in the config/splash.properties file and see if that works.

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.

    • Hello , when I try to launch the forge installer it just crash with a message for 0,5 secondes. I'm using java 17 to launch it. Here's the link of the error :https://cdn.corenexis.com/view/?img=d/ma24/qs7u4U.jpg
    • You will find the crash-report or log in your minecraft directory (crash-report or logs folder)
    • Use a modpack which is using these 2 mods as working base:   https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/life-in-the-village-3

    • Hello all. I'm currently grappling with the updateShape method in a custom class extending Block.  My code currently looks like this: The conditionals in CheckState are there to switch blockstate properties, which is working fine, as it functions correctly every time in getStateForPlacement.  The problem I'm running into is that when I update a state, the blocks seem to call CheckState with the position of the block which was changed updated last.  If I build a wall I can see the same change propagate across. My question thus is this: is updateShape sending its return to the neighbouring block?  Is each block not independently executing the updateShape method, thus inserting its own current position?  The first statement appears to be true, and the second false (each block is not independently executing the method). I have tried to fix this by saving the block's own position to a variable myPos at inception, and then feeding this in as CheckState(myPos) but this causes a worse outcome, where all blocks take the update of the first modified block, rather than just their neighbour.  This raises more questions than it answers, obviously: how is a different instance's variable propagating here?  I also tried changing it so that CheckState did not take a BlockPos, but had myPos built into the body - same problem. I have previously looked at neighbourUpdate and onNeighbourUpdate, but could not find a way to get this to work at all.  One post on here about updatePostPlacement and other methods has proven itself long superceded.  All other sources on the net seem to be out of date. Many thanks in advance for any help you might offer me, it's been several days now of trying to get this work and several weeks of generally trying to get round this roadblock.  - Sandermall
