I want to find out is an item is laying on the block ... How should i do that ?

BTW: i know laying item is an entity ...

Yes on a block and with no tile entity ...

maybe World#getEntitiesWithinAABB can help you

you are getting a worldobj inside that method. use that and iterate over the list from getEntitiesWithinAABB
