[1.7.10] Getting the World and Player data to manually spawn a mob near a player

Featured Replies

So I may be missing something pretty obvious, but I can't seem to find a way to easily grab the current World and EntityPlayer classes so I can manually spawn a mob via a PlayerTickEvent.

To elaborate on what exactly I'm trying to do, I want to keep track of the number of days a player has been alive, and if a certain number is reached, a mob is spawned near that player. I may be wrong to use a PlayerTickEvent for this, so feel free to correct me on that, but my main question is simply how to get the info of the current world and player so I can actually spawn the mob.

As another note, my TickHandler does have access to the current instance of Minecraft, since I heard it was a good way to give it access to world and player info, but I was unable to find anything useful in the Minecraft class itself.
