Posted August 5, 201510 yr I'm new to forge and modding (I am experienced with Java though). How do I go about giving the player an ItemStack. I know, it's simple, but I can't find anywhere the method to do so. I'm using 1.7.10 forge, and help is appreciated.

August 5, 201510 yr You realize he is going to type in "EntityPlayer.inventory.addStackToInventory" and tell us it doesn't work. Long time Bukkit & Forge Programmer Happy to try and help
August 5, 201510 yr player.inventory.addStackToInventory. or sth like that I tried that, it says it can't resolve 'player'. That means you haven't set the player variable yet. You have an instance of the player somewhere if you plan on adding something to the inventory. If you have experience with Java, the reason the variable can't be resolved should be obvious. you may have it called something else, you weren't being told to use specifically "player", but "player" represents whatever you call your actual player instance.
