Posted September 10, 201510 yr Does anyone know how you would code something as both a sword and bow? Is that even possible?
September 10, 201510 yr maybe creating a simple bow and overriding getDamageVsEntity will do the job. only a guess im not sure
September 10, 201510 yr Depends on if you want the "drawing" animation or not. Either as Failender said with a bow which will have the animation or by making a normal sword and overriding onItemRightClick and make it spawn an arrow on right click to fire without an animation Developing the Spiral Power Mod . こんにちは!お元気ですか?

Nothing ever works for me or I'm just completely stupid so I'm gonna need a little help on this one.
September 11, 201510 yr In your item class. You'll have to create a new item class and extend either sword or bow... or item. Yep it's Item#getDamageVsEntity—at least it's the same in 1.7.10 anyway. Developing the Spiral Power Mod . こんにちは!お元気ですか?

September 11, 201510 yr making items is simple, easy and there are tons of tutorials about it. so, once you've followed a tutorial that has you making a class for your item, make it extend the bow, this will practically make it a bow clone, so then you override the method said by another user to make it deal damage on left click as well. tbh this seems like a pretty simple task, just search for the right tutorials/guides, and use some imagination
