Model Texture not being applied

So I recently started working with the new b3d loader, but I'm having a few problems actually getting the texture to show up

Made a simple texture that I put behind the UV Map, and the texture is applied just fine there.

I made a Material and Texture for the Modeled Object, made the file name the same as "texture" in my json file, which I believe is what you have to do.

Yet for some reason, when I try to place the object in the world, I still get the purple/black texture icon

I'm looking all over for bits and pieces that give me info for how to use blender with json, but haven't found much, so any help is appreciated!
