Posted October 14, 20159 yr so in the blockstates json files, a lot of them have number values such as {"model": "tnt", "y": 90} what exactly is "y": 90 referring to?
October 14, 20159 yr The "x" and "y" values are the rotation around the x and y axes, respectively. This wiki page explains the vanilla blockstates and block/item model formats. For blocks with many combinations of properties, you may want to use Forge's blockstates format which is explained here. This allows you to specify what effect each value has on the model and combine multiple models. Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.
