Hey all,

I decided to bite the bullet and install Forge over Zombe's today. I am using a Macbook Pro. I have used MCPatcher on my .jar file, simply because I wanted to keep the 'Better Glass', 'Connected Textures' and 'Better Skies' mods included in MCPatcher.

Problem is, after a successful install and some tweaking (that is, with Forge displaying the 'validating Minecraft' thingy) I manage to load get to my main screen. On the 'mods installed' screen I see all my mods showing up with their own descriptions and whatnot. I have installed Balkon's Weapon Mod, Rei's Minimap, and More Bows, as well as TMI through FML. When I load up my singleplayer world, however, only TMI works. None of the other three have any block showing up in Creative mode or TMI. I have no error and can play perfectly, but none of the extra content appears.

Does anyone have a solution or at least a reason why this isn't working?

Thanks!

MCPatcher and it's mods are at fault. They aren't compatible with Forge. I would suggest, get MultiMC or MagicLauncher, get a fresh minecraft, get Forge 6.3.x for Minecraft 1.4.4 and Optifine, as it does the same things as MCPatcher and even more, AND it's compatible with Forge. Just make sure optifine is installed AFTER Forge. Then add your chosen mods.

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.

Thanks!

Well, holy crap, you're right about Optifine. I've cut down my graphic lag by quite a bit, which is nice, and all my mods are working after another round of proper installations.

Again, thanks for the help!
