[1.8] Where to get the WorldServer instance during packet handling?

Just wondering how to get the WorldServer instance for the IThreadListener during Simpleimpl packet handling. :)

I am not a cat. I know my profile picture is sexy and amazing beyond anything you could imagine but my cat like features only persist in my fierce eyes. I might be a cat.

Oh wait, think I got it! Will using MinecraftServer#getServer() cause any problems?

On the server side,

MessageContext#getServerHandler

returns the sending player's

NetHandlerPlayServer

and

NetHandlerPlayServer#playerEntity

contains the player.

 

Entity#worldObj

contains the entity's

World

(

EntityPlayer

is a subclass of

Entity

). On the server side, this is an instance of

WorldServer

.
