[CustomNPCs][1.7.10d][Scripting] Scala scripts fail without any error messages

Scala version: 2.11.6

After placing "scala-compiler.jar" in the mods folder I can select Scala as language in the Scripter UI, but none of the scripts run and nothing gets written to the console or the minecraft log files (fml-client-latest.log, CustomNPCs-latest.log, latest.log).

Using ECMA works, and due to the similarities in variables and calling functions, the test code I'm using should function for both languages.

Any chance you can help here? Are there any environment variables it depends on, or do I need to add the scala\lib folder to classpath? Or is there a log file I forgot to look in for the exception?  :)

Code should be irrelevant (if the code wasn't compiling it should give an exception) but just in case, it's in the spoiler

Init

print("Test");

Interact

var time = world.getTime() % 24000

npc.say("Hello, the time is " + time)

event.setCancelled(true)
