Hello. I'm noob in modding, but i have knowledge in java. I hope you can help me to start faster by your advice.

I had read few tutorials for beginner and i got basic concept of blocks and work with them.

But now i'm at an impasse...

I have the goal to write small mod to supplement the railcraft mod.

There is a multiblock structure that calls Tank to store fluids. i'd like to add multiblock structure(two blocks, one above other) and call it "pressure meter". This devices should be configurable in game and give the redstone signal outside in dependence by liquid lvl inside the tank. Is there any way to detect is the tank located near my device, and define is the tank is complete?

What tutorials should i read to get useful knowledges, to continue?
