Is it possible to use two textures one for the front and one for the  back of an item in the hand and on the ground?

    You  could try creating a custom .json and making it the same dimensions as a normal minecraft texture and just replace the back with something different then the front.

    Yeah I'm trying to make a custom json I just don't know which tags to use in it to set the back texture
