Posted May 17, 20169 yr Hello, Im trying to modify the players motion using this: mc.thePlayer.motionZ *= 0.5; mc.thePlayer.motionX *= 0.5; I tested it by seeing if the knockback is halfed, but it isnt. Then I tried setting it to 0 to make the change more obvious, but it also didnt work. mc.thePlayer.motionZ = 0; mc.thePlayer.motionX = 0;
May 17, 20169 yr Where? (hint: server, client, what event or method) 1.7.10 is no longer supported by forge, you are on your own.
May 17, 20169 yr Author My mod is clientside only, Im using the LivingHurtEvent. public void onLivingHurtEvent(LivingHurtEvent event){ if(event.entity instanceof EntityPlayer){ mc.thePlayer.motionX = 0; mc.thePlayer.motionZ = 0; } }
May 17, 20169 yr Author Oh, ok. Is there another way i can detect if the player was attacked? I thought of checking if the players health was reduced, but maybe theres a different/simpler way to do it?
May 18, 20169 yr Maybe you can use the AttackEntityEvent . From a quick look at the code, it doesn't seem server only. Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support. 1.12 -> 1.13 primer by williewillus. 1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support. http://www.howoldisminecraft1710.today/
May 18, 20169 yr Add this after where you add the motion: mc.thePlayer.velocityChanged = true; So now it should look like this: mc.thePlayer.motionZ *= 0.5; mc.thePlayer.motionX *= 0.5; mc.thePlayer.velocityChanged = true; IGN: matte006 Played Minecraft since summer 2011. Modding is my life now. Please check out my mod https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/gadgets-n-goodies-mod?gameCategorySlug=mc-mods&projectID=230028
