If the forum software was written in 2006 and if it is so bad, why not changing to a more modern one and a good one? Wouldn't that help alot?
Once the transfer is fully done and everything is stable. The plan is to re-evaluate all of the systems we use and look into better solutions. But the important part is to make sure everything is stable/cleaned up so we can get a full lay of the land.

 

This. The reality is, the more I can clean it up and smooth things out now, the easier it will be if and when we decide to migrate to something else. I'm just the guy cranking the cogs right now, so I don't want to speak out of place.

 

I echo Lex, I want it to be clean, stable, and secure for you guys. I'll keep doing my best to make sure that's how it goes :D

Ah, ok.

 

Oh and I've found a bug: Sometimes the forum renders Java code without the code formattings and you have to re-load the complete site to fix it. ;)

But besides that, it runs very stable. :)

 

Besides that, if you guys want to make the forum look even more modern at some point, like when migrating to a new software, I've got some insperation for you:

      I was hoping I could get some help with this weird crash. I've hosted many servers before and never had this issue. Now and then the server crashed with "Exception ticking world". Everywhere I looked I rarely found any info on it (usually found ticking entity instead). Any advice I did get (mostly from the modpack owner's discord) was "We don't know and it's near impossible to find out what it is".       Hallo liebes Forge team, mein forge installer nimmt nicht die Java datei an bzw. zeigt nicht das Symbol und öffnet immer nur kurz die console und schließt sich dann wieder.  Ich habe die neueste java datei und die neueste forge datei und es öffnet trotzdem nichts.  Könntet ihr mir dabei weiterhelfen?
