Customized map

I tried to run a 1.8.9 Forge server using a Customized map I had built in Single Player, with larger biomes as well as a few other settings changed. I edited the server.properties so that the generator-settings, level-type, and level-seed are correct. But when I log in, I find that although all the parts of the world that were loaded in Single Player are correct, there is an ugly cut-off at the edge of those areas, and on the other side the world generation that I specified no longer applies. I really want to share this map with my friends (while also being able to use WorldEdit), but I've been looking and can't find a solution to this problem anywhere. I've never posted in a forum before, so I hope I have the right place.

The only mod I'm using is WorldEdit, and the problem persists with no mods installed. When I run a regular, non-Forge server with the Customized map, it works fine.
