Posted January 3, 20178 yr Forge 1.10.2-12.18.3.2185 I have a class that has been annotated with @Mod.EventBusSubscriber as well as @SideOnly(Side.CLIENT). The server crashes with "An error occurred trying to load an EventBusSubscriber..." on this class when trying to load as a dedicated server. I would have expected the @SideOnly annotation to suppress event registration. Is Forge working as expected, or is this a Forge issue? Thanks! EDIT: Never mind. Found that there are extra things I could set so doing a @Mod.EventBusSubscriber(value = { Side.CLIENT }) solves it. All it took was for me to make a post here.
January 3, 20178 yr @Mod.EventBusSubscriber accepts Side.CLIENT so you don't need the @SideOnly Did you really need to know?
January 3, 20178 yr EDIT: Never mind. Found that there are extra things I could set so doing a @Mod.EventBusSubscriber(value = { Side.CLIENT }) solves it. All it took was for me to make a post here. You don't need to explicitly specify the value property of an annotation, just pass the values directly to the annotation. e.g. @Mod.EventBusSubscriber(Side.CLIENT) . Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.
