Minecraft Crashes on startup

Hey guys,

I've successfully installed forge (1.10.2) on another computer and I'm trying to the same on another computer. It's the same model and brand but it's crashing upon startup. I tried allocating more RAM towards minecraft, I've tried updating Java, I've tried disabling the loading screen, but nothing seems to work. It's weird because I didn't have any problems on the other computer. Attached to this topic is my crash report, if you have any solutions, it would be highly appreciated.

Yeah, something is adding an additional Xmx, allocating just 256MB RAM max. My suggestions:

1. Check your VM flags in your profile settings again

2. If there's no additional Xmx, check if you have the _JAVA_OPTIONS environment variable and delete it if you do:

  • Right Click on My Computer
  • Click Properties
  • On the left panel, click Advanced system settings (you might need admin rights for this one)
  • In the Advanced tab in the System Properties window, click Environment Variables. This will open the Environment Variables window
  • In either the System variables or the User variables section, look for the "_JAVA_OPTIONS" variable
  • Click on the variable and click Delete
  • Click on OK on the remaining open windows and close the System window

3. If you use a custom launcher, it might add another Xmx option itself. In that case, either the launcher has a memory setting or you need to use a different launcher (preferably the vanilla one)

Don't ask for support per PM! They'll get ignored! | If a post helped you, click the "Thank You" button at the top right corner of said post! |

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.
