How would a convert this ItemStack to a Item so I can pass it through this

Item

is just the item type, e.g. Stone Sword, Gold Ingot. Any additional information like metadata/damage and NBT is stored on the

ItemStack

.

 

As I said in your other thread, you need to override

Block#getDrops

if you want to drop

ItemStack

s with NBT.
