Literally just as the title says, I reach the Mojang screen and then I get "Java Platform SE binary has stopped working" and the game closes. It's only with my forge profile and I've tried removing mods to see if it was a mod problem and doing so allowed me to get a little further to the title screen but the same issue occurs if I try join a game.

I am running windows 10 with 64bit java and my game ran fine for a long time until today & I haven't even touched any files, it just seems to have stopped.

I don't know how much use it is but here's my game output:

If anyone is able to identify/give me a solution to this I'd greatly appreciate it.

Try disabling the loading screen as described in the EAQ. Although I see you have a GTX 970 which shouldn't have an issue with the loading screen.

Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support.

1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support.

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.

Please remove any other mods you have installed.

I removed all mods, the game launched but once I joined a game is was EXTREMELY laggy and crashed within 15 seconds again.

I've tried a clean install of both Minecraft and Forge (without any mods) & I still receive the Java Binary Error + crash.

Something is adding -Xmx256M to your JVM args. 256 MB is not nearly enough to run the Game, find wherever that comes from and remove it.

Any ideas how I can find or fix this?

Make sure there's no JAVA_OPTIONS environment variable adding the -Xmx256M to your JVM args. If there is, you can delete it.

So I tried forcing the minimum allocated memory to be higher with -Xmx6G -Xms6G (I have 16GB ram)

But it just returns this game output

I can't find anything limiting my JVM args in Environment Variables either?

Like it says in the error message: Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx256M.

That is an environment variable and you need to get rid of it.

How do I do that, it doesn't exist in my windows Environment Variables? Should I just create a larger one?
