Bad Video Card Driver?

Recommended Posts

I am completely unable to use Minecraft. Whenever I start up Minecraft, everything goes normally, but after Forge finishes starting up, my screen goes black for a amount of time, and then gives me a video card driver problem.

      Bad video card drivers!

      -----------------------

Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.

This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

I really need some help! I can't use any mods that require Forge, and I can't play!  :'(

I have the same problem.  Minecraft works fine but when Forge is loaded it gives the video card driver error and fails to work.  I HAVE the latest video card drivers for my video card. which is a part of my motherboard and cannot be removed.  I am not in a position to just trot out to the store and buy a new video card as some might suggest.  If Forge is to help all of the gaming community it should not just support rich players and  require hardware updates to work.  Is it possible to make Forge work without buying a new computer?

You could try DECREASING the amount for memory (it worked for me)

To do that look in settings if you're using ftblauncher or multimc or magic launcher, if you're using mojang's i recommend you update to one of the abovementioned.

Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE!

This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project.
