Posted March 5, 20178 yr I managed to host a FTB server just fine with my current port settings, but when I try to host a forge server, no one can connect to it except for me via local host. I was using this tool to see if it was my port settings. When I run a FTB server, the port is open. When I am running a forge server (or no server at all) the port is closed. What am I doing wrong?

Hopefully I can post them then. **Edit** Here they are. The first is from my FTB server that works. The second is from a forge server that is unmodded and doesn't work. server.properties server.properties Edited March 6, 20178 yr by somgoozy It was that or double post.
March 7, 20178 yr Something that might be worth checking: make sure both java.exe and javaw.exe have any needed firewall permissions etc
March 8, 20178 yr Author I solved it, and I have no idea why my solution works. I was not running using a bat file. I had planned on making one after I had confirmed that my mods all agreed, but that never happened because I never got the server fully functioning. I realized that the bat file was the thing that FTB has that my server didn't.
