So I followed all the directions and downloaded it. I also opened with Java then do the client thingy. Then I made a new profile on minecraft with version forge 1.8.9. When I hit play, a sign comes up saying "Game Crash. An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience". Please somebody help me and teach me what to do. I CANNOT USE FORGE. It really sucks because I have to use Laby Mod instead of other mods. But I need forge for these other mods. Please reply soon and help me!

Post the fml-latest.log file located in your .minecraft folder.

It's in the logs directory of the profile's game directory (.minecraft by default). You don't put it anywhere else on your computer, you upload it to Gist or Pastebin and link it here.

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.

I do not understand. What do you want me to do exactly? Can you please give me very specfic directions because the tutorials on youtube keep bringing up the same problem. So what do I do after I downloaded it and opened it with java.Should I have done something before? Where do I put? Please this is really confusing.

  • Open the game directory. Unless you changed it when creating the profile, this is the .minecraft directory.
  • Open the logs directory inside the game directory.
  • Find the fml-client-latest.log file in the logs directory.
  • Go to the Gist website in your browser.
  • Drag the fml-client-latest.log file onto the browser page.
  • Click "Create secret gist".
  • Copy the URL from the browser's address bar.
  • Paste the URL into the post editor in this thread.

If you're on Windows, the .minecraft directory is hidden away in a corner of your user account.

To get at it:

1) Open any folder, and click on the address bar. Type in "%appdata%"(no quotes) and press Enter. That will take you to a hidden folder in your user account.

2) Open the Roaming folder, and the .minecraft folder should be in there.

So choonster this is going to fix my problem of minecraft crashing? What if the fml-log is not there? And how does pasting it on a website  and putting the URL here going to solve the issue. Not doubting your intelligence or trying to be rude. I am just desperate for forge and really curious. Thank you.

There is no fml log. I checked twice. All it says is 2017-04-29-5.log.gz with different dates so another could say 2-17-03-08-1.log.gz. There is literally no fml log. How do I get a fml log?

Can I please post the launcher output? What is the launcher output and where do I find it. Wdym that I am not running forge. I am not running forge because my minecraft keeps crashing when I try to play with forge.

  • Author

I am not able to run Forge because every time I try to, the game crashes so that is probably why there is no forge log because I am unable to play with forge

  • Author

this is what came up, I know how to get to the %appdata% folder, and .minecraft folder, and there is no fml-log. There is only a log that was made by today like 5 minutes ago. Maybe that is the fml-log?

So are you saying I cannot play on minecraft 1.8.9 like everyone else? So I have to play on minecraft 1.11.2?

  • Author

Well you said it still receives support. That's that and also how do I post logs when there is not even any log. I cannot get a log when there is no log. How do I get the log when I did everything you told me to do.
