Modded Server Keeps Overloading

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

So i have a server running on Forge with 7 mods:

Pixelmon1.10.2-5.0.4

AnotherGymPlugin1.10.2-0.4.2 Beta

ArrowCamMod1.10.2-2.2.0

OptiFine 1.10.2_HD_U_D8

Xaeros_Minimap 1.12.7_Forge_1.10.2

worldedit-forge-mc1.10.2-6.1.4-dist

TreeChopper-1.10.2-1.1.2

And in the beginning it was all fine, no lag whatsoever. But then problems started to pop up, i was getting the message that my server was overloading all the time. And eventually the server crashed, again and again

Are you running server and client on the same machine? Why did you give it 5 gigs? Giving "all the RAM" to Minecraft is not always a good idea. Only give it as much as it needs.

And how you are running Optifine and a Minimap on a server is beyond me.

It is running on the same machine and it uses almost 4gigs of ram if i play(server only) and like 2-3 gigs of ram on my minecraft

and i don't understand why Optifine and a minimap won't work, explain this please. (sorry for stupidness)

It will always use almost as much as you give it. Memory in Minecraft is managed by Java. If you give it more, it will just clean up less often, but that cleaning will take longer. If you are running a server with a few mods, 1 or 2 gigs should usually be enough for a few players. The amount of RAM you need depends mostly on the number of players.

They are both client-side-only mods. You cannot install them on a server, it will crash.

I did al of this (removing optifine and minimap from server, and reducing it to 2gigs) but it still doesn't work.

I don't know why cause it used to work fine but now it still is overloading and crashing all the time and my tickspeed is 3 so that isn't a problem.

What could be the cause? (i don't have any redstone contraptions)

there is a crash report attached
