I've decided to add a fidget spinner to my mod that spins on right click by switching through different textures to emulate a rotating fidget spinner. I've done most the work in creating the actual item, but I need help with the right click method.

@Override
	public ActionResult<ItemStack> onItemRightClick(World worldIn, EntityPlayer playerIn, EnumHand handIn) {

		return new ActionResult(EnumActionResult.PASS, playerIn.getHeldItem(handIn));
	}

I'm assuming this will have something to do with it.(I am fairly new to programming so forgive me if its really simple)

You need to change the metadata of the ItemStack on right-click and then change the texture depending on the metadata.

How would I go about doing this?

Which part? Have you tried anything?

I set up an EnumHandler which contains the different metadata of the spinner, including the one where the spinner isn't spinning. I have 8 textures and I'm trying to loop through these according to the metadata; I am stuck on changing the texture depending on the metadata. I tried a for loop but I don't know how I would change the texture with it.
