I downloaded the very latest release today and created a new profile to play it. It crashed:

 

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: Using incremental CMS is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release

 

I edited the Java exec in profile from javaw to java but did not resolve the issue.

    hmmm....yeah. I also said it was the latest but it was the recommended version. Sorry for that. So the recommended version caused the crash. The one that I am using right now is 2453, which has no problems.

    Thanks. I will update eventually. I don't know how to do an FML log though.
