[1.12] How to create a new crafting table using custom recipe JSONs

So, I'm still fairly new to Forge modding, and I was trying to figure out how to create a new crafting table (with distinct recipes from the normal ones) using the JSON system. In particular, I wanted to be able to include a "recipe level" where more advanced recipes require upgraded versions of the table. I know about factories, and as far as I can tell I've implemented it fine. However, what I can't figure out is how to get the table to find recipes of the new type; everything I've found specifically looked for IRecipes, and all the tutorials I've found use the old system. I've tried looking through vanilla code, but because I'm still new to it it's a bit overwhelming. Any help?

Yes. If you are fluent in Java or another similar language, post more specifics, actual code you're using would be good. Otherwise, you're being too ambitious and you should try something simpler. This task is not suitable for someone new to Java.

Failed loading villager cartographer registered at cartographer - frozen tick

Allocated 10 Gb of ram. Could try again with more but I read using too much can slow things down as well. Going to try another big modpack and see if i can replicate the problem. It seems like this cartographer problem is kind of popular and doesn't have a solid solution yet, but i suspect its some generation mod since it's a crash that happens when specific chunks are being loaded. so i'll still try to lookout for what mod it could be as i add. i'll report back after testing as you suggested for a bit

I have no idea - is enough RAM allocated?
Do other pre-configured modpacks work? Maybe use such a modpack as working base and add new mods one by one

The settings.gradle file has been fixed. But, the build.gradle has an error now.
